Today’s scripture(s) verse:

Acts 1:4-8

While he was with them, he commanded them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for the Father’s promise. “Which,” he said, “you have heard me speak about; 5 for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit in a few days.”  So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, are you restoring the kingdom to Israel at this time?”  He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or periods that the Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

As I began to write this note, I was curious as what to name it.  “What the Bible don’t say,” to us as children of God.  It was not God’s intend to give us the whole life history of Himself or His creation.  People always search for evidence to show evolution –vs- creation.  Well if you only take the earth, and the planets and refer to them without biblical understanding, well, you will end up with a supporting factor towards evolution.  But, if you reflect on the other evidences that we know, the bible, then you can believe in creation.  The Bible tells us about the fall of man, that God loved us and was going to rescue us from damnation, this is told in the very beginning.  Jesus came and saved us from destruction, by taking our damnation and destruction upon himself.  This is the idea behind the reason for the bible.  SAVE MANKIND.  Genesis 1:1 – Genesis 1:2 reflect and undetermined amount of time.  Many theologians do not believe this gap theory, but it says “the earth was without form and void;” the proper Hebrew translation (hayah) here is not was, but, became, or had become.  So “the earth became without form and void.  By applying this simple fix, we now can find a timeline for the dinosaurs and million year old rocks and so forth.

Strong’s Concordance hayah: to fall out, come to pass, become, be,
