Today’s scripture verse:

Psalms 139:1-4

The All-Knowing, Ever-Present God

Lord, you have searched me and known me. You know when I sit down and when I stand up; you understand my thoughts from far away. You observe my travels and my rest; you are aware of all my ways.  Before a word is on my tongue, you know all about it, Lord.

So many times in the church house we hear request for prayer, and at the moment we think of the prayer and we feel the Spiritual implication to pray but don’t, then we leave after the service, we go to our homes, and a lot of times we forget the prayer request.  Do you ever do that?  I do.  Is it because I don’t care about the request?  No.  At the moment the Spirit pricks my heart and I feel the implication and need to pray, my heart felt desire has delivered a heartfelt prayer to God for the situation even though I didn’t say a word.  God knows the heart.  It is not the action of the outside of man but the inside of man that God says is the real man.  You can speak a beautiful prayer vocally, or silently to yourself, and if it is not from the heart then, “does God accept it?”  We cannot ever pretend to be in Christ Jesus, and act out in religious ways, our prayers, our servanthood, and love for the Lord, this all has to be from the heart.  Psalms 139:23-24 (The Living Bible), Search me, O God, and know my heart; test my thoughts. Point out anything you find in me that makes you sad, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.  Amen.
