Bible reading today: Isiah 66, Psalm 67, Proverb 11, John 10
Today’s scripture verse: John 15:22 If I (Jesus) had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin.
To believe or not to believe, that is the question that is set before us. The entire human race is faced with the same question. The bible, the preachers, missionaries, teachers and believers around the world are telling day in and day out about God, His Christ and His Word, so because of this knowledge of God the bible teaches that “man has no excuse.” The “Consequences of Sin,” are condemnation and the wrath of God. Belief brings the removal of condemnation and wrath, coupled with the gift of eternal life, unbelief assures that one will be judged and will die in sins, resulting in eternal death. So the character of sin and the consequences of sin are exhibited in unbelief. Believing is not only a necessity of life but has to be a priority because no one knows the hour of the end, either in the end of the world or the end of one’s life.
